In Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, the lakes are almost as numerous
as waterfalls! Lake Gogebic is the U.P.'s largest inland lake, known
for walleye, bass and jumbo perch. You’ll also enjoy catching trout,
salmon, steelhead in some of the many waterways.
The Cisco Chain of lakes is one of the longest chains in the world
with 271 miles of beautiful shoreline. The Cisco Chain boasts many
state records for fish.
Fishing enthusiasts will always find the right spot to cast their lines
in Lake Superior, Lake Gogebic, the Flintsteel and Ontonagon rivers,
and the Middle Branch of the Ontonagon River.
Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park and Ottawa National
Forest have more than 700 lakes and thousands of miles of
streams to fish.

Lake Superior is just a stone's throw from Lake Gogebic and offers
many choices for the angler. Charter boat fishing is available at
Ontonagon, Black River and Saxon Harbor. Many of the charter
boats have a no fish-no pay policy. You may take your own boat
out from one of the launches at Ontonagon, Silver City, Black River
Harbor, Little Girls Point, and Saxon Harbor.
